Happy New Year from TWG!

We hope you have a fantastic and safe time celebrating the start of the new year (and a new decade) this evening, but before we take a look ahead at what is to come in 2020, let’s take a step back and reflect on all that has happened over the past year.

2019 was a dynamic year at The Wilshire Group, which is to be expected given the rapidly changing nature of the healthcare industry. Here’s a quick rundown of some of the changes we’ve experienced!

Our family continues to grow!

The Wilshire Group is one big family, and that family has continued to grow. Not only have we welcomed three new members to the team (Rebecca Haymaker, Vice President of Revenue Cycle Services; Tyre Pierce, Senior Strategic Advisor; Carole Bodonovitz, Senior Strategic Advisor), but we’ve added two adorable babies to the mix as well.

Patient Access Manager Freeman Jenkins and his wife Julie added baby boy Callum to the family, and Sr Strategy Advisor Jeremy Hung and his wife Christine welcomed baby boy Caden to the family.

Our offerings are evolving!

While we pride ourselves on being a fantastic collection of industry-leading healthcare experts, we also pride ourselves on staying up to speed on the changing landscape of the industry.

And with that, our offerings have evolved.

At the core, we are a revenue cycle-focused company, but what we have realized over the past year (and the past decade) is that too often, organizations aren’t understanding how clinical service lines intertwine with revenue cycle functions. If you have a revenue cycle issue, you get a revenue cycle expert, but what happens if those issues are actually a result of upstream workflows? Well, lucky for you, we’ve got a team of clinical service experts who are here to bridge that gap and connect the clinical teams with the revenue cycle teams.

Furthermore, while we love to place our team members into positions of need at organizations, that is not all we offer.

Towards the tail end of this year, we released our first three Quick HIT offerings, which are short, targeted, performance-driven projects to help your organizations see a quick and meaningful return on your investment in us. For more information on each of these Quick HITs click on the below links:

Front-end collections

Registration and authorization quality

Clinical Charge Capture

In addition to the three offerings above, we are planning to release more Quick HIT offerings in quarter one of 2020 including projects centered around charge reconciliation and price estimates.

The knowledge base continues to expand
