Ryan Sommers Joins The Wilshire Group as Director of Clinical Services

Los Angeles (PRWEB) August 13, 2018 -- The Wilshire Group, a leading healthcare consulting firm, has added Ryan Sommers to its team as Director of Clinical Services, and with the hire makes a major leap into new territory. In his new role, Ryan will be expanding and leading The Wilshire Group’s unique and trusted services into the clinical domain, crafting solutions to meet client needs and managing the people and efforts required to deliver the results expected from The Wilshire Group team.

Ryan has spent his 14-year career leading initiatives of all shapes and sizes across multi-facility health systems, academic medical centers, pediatric & community hospitals, and physician-owned practices. He has seen clients through enterprise and module-specific implementations, clinical system integration, upgrades, and transitions, physician engagement and charge capture efforts, and executive-level clinical quality and performance plans. He is a proven program and project manager accustomed to strategic project planning, staffing & budgeting, M&A/Community Connect relationships, and directing work / managing teams toward specific project outcomes and deliverables.

Ryan holds a PMP, 10+ Epic certifications, and is actively engaged with his local HIMSS and PMI chapters. While working for Epic, he not only led clients through their implementations, but also co-founded a program focused on user-centric design, taught coursework on system usability and efficiency, and helped to manage some of the software’s clinical design initiatives. Ryan is an innovator and thought leader who now thrives on helping clients to break through boundaries and maximize what they can achieve. He enjoys bringing people together to improve upon what’s been done before and collaborate on next-level results. His project and interpersonal skills, experiences, insights, and vision consistently lead to operational improvement, sustained business results, and enduring relationships.

Ryan received his BA in Mathematics and Psychology from Luther College in Decorah, IA and now resides near Houston, TX. Outside of work, Ryan is likely to be found socializing at his local coffee shops and breweries, enjoying the great outdoors with his pup, or cruising down to the beach on his motorcycle.
